University of Chicago Consortium on School Research

Briana is a Research Analyst who is currently studying the City Colleges of Chicago system as well as the many K-12 assessments administered to Chicago Public Schools students.  Before joining the UChicago Consortium, Briana worked in New Orleans public education for nine years, serving as a middle- and high-school science teacher, school district data analyst and database architect, and policy researcher at Tulane University’s Education Research Alliance. Her research interests include educational accountability systems and school leadership.  As a Chicago Public Schools graduate, Briana is thrilled to return to her hometown to do work that analyses and communicates phenomena important to public school students and graduates like herself and City College students like those in her family. In her free time, she enjoys sewing costumes, baking with her partner, and exploring Chicago’s many parks with her dog Calliope.
