Kay Fujiyoshi is a foundations year instructor and advisor for the elementary team at the University of Chicago Urban Teacher Education Program. Fujiyoshi engages in planning, teaching, observing, and assessing residents and conducts professional development workshops for residents' Clinical Instructors. 

Prior to joining UEI full-time, Fujiyoshi worked with UChicago UTEP as an interim residency instructor. She has also served as a data collector with the American Institute for Research and as an English teacher at North Lawndale College Prep in Chicago.

Fujiyoshi earned her PhD in educational policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago as well as an MEd and BA in English Literature and teacher education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
