
Kate Julian is a research analyst at the University of Chicago Consortium on Chicago School Research. She is currently working on CCSR’s study of YOUmedia, a digital media and learning program for teens at the Chicago Public Library’s Harold Washington Library Center. Julian’s research interests include the use of both quantitative and qualitative methods to study the implementation of educational programs in school and after school settings.
Prior to joining CCSR, Julian worked as a middle grades math teacher and research associate with a school district. More recently, she served as an external program evaluator on several federally funded high school reform initiatives and after school programs. Julian received a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
