Deirdre Ring-Marrinson is project manager at the Urban Education Institute. She manages the McKnight Education and Learning Initiative by providing support to participating school districts, The McKnight Foundation and other UEI staff involved in the initiative. She also serves as the executive assistance to UEI John Dewey Director Tim Knowles.
Prior to joining the Urban Education Institute, Ring-Marrinson was a marketing manager for an organization that provides immersion learning experiences for students of all ages and for a digital media start-up. She also worked for Miami-Dade County serving the constituents of District 8.
Ring-Marrinson received her B.A. in communications with a minor in Spanish from the University of Portland.
